AP-Tech designs and delivers systems that help airports manage ground operations safely and efficiently, for civil and military airports and air navigation service providers in Poland and abroad. Our two core products are: MonSter (ALCMS):
our Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System. It controls and monitors airfield ground lighting: the runway, taxiway and approach lights that guide pilots day and night. Since flight safety depends on it, MonSter runs 24/7 on redundant infrastructure. A-SMGCS:
an Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System that helps controllers guide aircraft and vehicles safely on the airport surface. About the Role
We are looking for a
Junior+ DevOps / Python Engineer

When the lights on a runway depend on our software, downtime is not an option. You will start with well-defined tasks under a mentor’s guidance and gradually take ownership of larger parts of the system, including our high-availability clusters. We do not expect you to know our whole stack on day one, but we do expect curiosity, solid fundamentals and an engineering mindset: you spot problems early, look for root causes and propose lasting fixes. Key Responsibilities
Deployments:
Deploying and updating the MonSter stack using Ansible playbooks and roles. Automation:
Writing Python and bash scripts that automate deployments, diagnostics and everyday operations. Backend Operations:
Running and improving the containerised backend (Docker Compose, PostgreSQL, Redis, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch). Networking:
Configuring and troubleshooting MikroTik networks: VLANs, firewall rules and VPNs. CI/CD:
Building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Monitoring & Security:
Monitoring and securing the systems, reacting to alerts and keeping documentation up to date. On-site Support:
Supporting deployments and incident resolution at airport sites. Requirements

First hands-on experience in IT: an internship, a junior position, or substantial projects (university, open source, homelab). Linux:
Solid working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and bash. Python:
You can write scripts that solve real problems. Networking:
Fundamentals of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS and firewalls. Git:
Basic familiarity with version control. Education:
A degree (or final year of studies) in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Background Check:
A clean criminal record and readiness to undergo the background checks required for access to airport restricted areas. Nice to Have
