Job Purpose The purpose of the function “AP Assistant Manager” is to organize the daily operations of the department, analysing accounting data, enforcing approved accounting procedures and policies. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Client/JTBE AP Department and help the Company be fully aware of its financial condition. This needs to be done with strong commitment to the company and its policies.
Key activities and Complexity Key Activities
Assist the Manager in planning daily operations and period-end tasks
Ensures that all the procedures are followed by staff
Maintains department’s manuals and instructions
Manage month-end and year-end closing
Prepare financial data and participating in audits
Implement approved procedures and control quality of implementation
Overall responsibility for procedures, policies, strategies and deadlines being timely updated, introduced to team members and followed by them
Coach and support new and existing Staff
Back-up of Client/JTBE AP Manager for some issues
System development and implementation according to department`s needs
Keeping information confidential
Other current tasks assigned by Client/JTBE AP Manager
Knowledge, skills and experience
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Good knowledge of Excel (pivots, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
International Accounting certification is preferable
