Scientific Journal Editor – Wound Care (Remote, Part-Time) $45/hr | 30 hrs/wk
A healthcare research company seeks an experienced editor for its peer-reviewed wound care journal.
Responsibilities:
Screen and critically evaluate manuscripts for methods, statistics and clinical relevance
Manage blinded peer review and recommend decisions to the Editor-in-Chief
Provide substantive editorial feedback to authors
Apply ICMJE, COPE and CONSORT standards and publication ethics
Track manuscripts and coordinate copyediting, proofs, DOIs and publication
Qualifications:
5+ years of scientific/medical editing or peer-reviewed journal experience
Bachelor's in life sciences or healthcare; advanced degree preferred
Clinical research publication experience preferred
Editorial Manager or ScholarOne experience
Wound care experience a plus
