Junior Backend Software Developer We are looking for a Junior Backend Software Developer to join our backend development team.
You will work on backend services that support Edge Io T devices used by customers across a variety of industries.
Depending on the project, you may contribute to REST APIs, device integrations, data processing, testing tools, or our Io T platform.
Requirements
At least one year of commercial experience in backend development, preferably using Python.
Solid understanding of Python fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and error handling.
Understanding of REST APIs and how backend services communicate.
Familiarity with a Python web framework such as Fast API, Django, or Flask.
Understanding of core programming concepts and debugging techniques.
Basic knowledge of databases and data persistence.
Familiarity with Linux as a development environment.
Good experience with Git as a version control system.
Interest in Io T and connected devices, with experience using microcontrollers, development boards, or an RTOS.
Basic understanding of communication protocols such as MQTT, Co AP, or similar.
Interest in experimenting with AI-powered development tools and reviewing the code they produce.
Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions, and work effectively as part of a team.
Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend software under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Implement features, fix bugs, and improve existing code.
Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with databases and other services.
Contribute to services that receive, process, and store data from Edge Io T devices.
Investigate backend and device integration issues using logs, debuggers, and testing tools.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team planning.
Create clear technical documentation for implemented features and development workflows.
Nice to Have
Knowledge or experience with Docker.
Experience with Zephyr RTOS.
Hobby projects with Arduino, ESP32, n RF52, or similar platforms.
