Your Mission
Define and lead Deutsche Telekom’s long-term vision for next-generation communication and compute systems, turning emerging technologies into strategic direction and real-world solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive a forward-looking research agenda
- Explore novel architectures and emerging technology paradigms
- Develop prototypes, experiments, and technology demonstrators
- Lead technology foresight and strategic assessments
- Collaborate internationally with academia, startups, and industry leaders
- Represent Deutsche Telekom in global research and industry ecosystems
- Translate research into future network and infrastructure strategies
- Contribute to intellectual property generation, publications, and thought leadership
Focus Areas:
- AI-native 6G architectures
- Adaptive and intelligent radio systems
- Spectrum evolution and advanced wireless systems
- Optical transport and photonic interconnects
- Communication–compute convergence
- AI/HPC infrastructure

Your Profile
Telecommunications, Computer Science, EE, Physics, or similar, PhD is a significant plus.
Expertise in multiple areas (g. wireless, photonics, AI/HPC, distributed systems, future internet architecture)
Strong systems-thinking and architectural mindset
Experience in applied research, prototyping, or advanced tech development
Ability to bridge research, engineering, and business
Strong network in academia/industry
Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
Curiosity, vision, and passion for deep tech
