For our client, an international biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative therapies for patients with high unmet medical needs, we are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead the Medical Affairs function in Poland.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the local medical strategy, support product launches, and contribute to improving patient access to cutting-edge treatments in highly specialized therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the local medical strategy in alignment with global objectives.
Provide scientific and medical leadership for innovative therapies across the portfolio.
Lead, coach, and develop the Medical Affairs team, including MSLs and Medical Affairs Managers.
Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, scientific societies, and patient organizations.
Monitor emerging clinical data, scientific publications, and treatment guidelines.
Deliver scientific training and medical education to internal and external stakeholders.
Support product launches, market access initiatives, and reimbursement activities.
Oversee local early access programs, and other medical projects.
Represent the company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and industry events.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, ethical standards, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (MD, PhD, PharmD preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally within Medical Affairs.
Previous leadership experience and a proven ability to manage and develop medical teams.
Strong scientific and clinical knowledge, with the ability to engage credibly with external experts.
Experience supporting product launches and cross-functional projects.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Strategic mindset, patient-centric approach, and strong compliance orientation.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
