JR-000089**Das erwartet dich bei uns**You'll take ownership of business-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL environments in a complex enterprise setting. The work is varied and hands-on: high availability, replication, backup and recovery, and automation, using tools like Grafana, Zabbix and Copilot. You'll work closely with international IT teams, solve complex problems independently and share your knowledge with others.**Das bringst du mit****Your responsibilities*** Install, configure, administer and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.* Ensure stable, secure and reliable operation of database systems supporting business-critical services.* Provide professional technical support for business applications and IT services.* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and handle incidents, problems and service requests.* Monitor database and system performance, availability and capacity, and proactively address potential issues.* Perform database upgrades, patching, backup and recovery activities (including point-in-time recovery).* Set up and maintain replication and high-availability solutions, such as Oracle Data Guard and PostgreSQL streaming replication.* Support and improve monitoring, maintenance and operational processes through automation.* Create, update and maintain technical documentation, procedures and operational guidelines.* Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, security and other IT teams.* Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of recurring or complex incidents.* Share technical knowledge, provide guidance and support the development of other team members.* Use AI-powered tools to support troubleshooting, documentation, scripting, data analysis and the optimization of daily IT operations.**Your profile / requirements*** Several years of professional experience in database administration or IT systems administration, preferably in complex enterprise environments.* Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.* Experience with database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery.* Good understanding of database performance monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization.* Experience with backup and recovery technologies and concepts, such as Oracle RMAN and PostgreSQL tools like pgBackRest, Barman, pg\\_dump/pg\\_basebackup and WAL archiving.* Knowledge of Oracle technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager and PL/SQL would be an advantage.* Knowledge of PostgreSQL ecosystem technologies such as streaming/logical replication, Patroni or repmgr, PgBouncer, psql/pgAdmin and PL/pgSQL would be an advantage.* Experience with Linux environments.* Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus (e.g. postgres\\_exporter), Zabbix or similar solutions would be an advantage.* Understanding of IT service management processes, including incident, problem and change management.* Experience with ticketing and documentation platforms such as Jira and Confluence would be an advantage.* Practical ability to use AI-powered tools, for example Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot, to support technical analysis, scripting, troubleshooting and documentation.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to independently handle complex technical issues.* Ability to cooperate effectively across different IT teams and communicate technical topics clearly.* Willingness to share knowledge and support less experienced team members.* Very good command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level), enabling effective communication in an international IT environment.**Nice to have*** Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions, such as Ansible or Terraform.* Knowledge of database security, access management and vulnerability remediation.**Das bieten wir dir****We offer:*** Regular Certified Training – We invest in your professional growth* Opportunities to Attend IT Conferences (including international ones) – stay updated with the latest trends* Access to E-Learning Platforms – learn at your own pace* Language Classes + Access to Language E-Learning Platform – enhance your language skills* Comprehensive Benefit System – A wide range of perks for you* Private Medical Care – we care about your health* Group Insurance – providing additional security* Sports Card – enjoy an active lifestyle* Regular In-Office massage sessions – take care of your health and relax while at work* Budgets for Team Integrations – We build strong team relationships* Comfortable Office with private Parking in the Heart of Gliwice – work in a convenient and well-connected location* Flexible Working Hours – adapt your work schedule to your lifestyle* Hybrid Work (60/40) – combine office presence with remote work**Willkommen bei ista**
