We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the IB Agency Trading team and contribute to the development and enhancement of applications supporting Equity Agency Trading.
Agency Trading provides institutional clients with direct market access, algorithmic trading, and smart order routing capabilities. The role focuses on building modern, data-intensive web applications and reusable components supporting electronic trading platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain modern, data-intensive web applications.
Build scalable and reusable front-end components.
Deliver sophisticated data-grid functionality and responsive user interfaces.
Develop comprehensive unit and component tests to ensure application quality.
Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Collaborate with backend engineers, UX, and product teams to deliver new features.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Mandatory Skills Description
5+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
Production experience with AG Grid Enterprise.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Less.
Experience with Vitest and React Testing Library.
Experience building and testing reusable React components.
Experience using AI/Copilot tools in software development.
Strong ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience with Playwright.
Knowledge of FDC3.
Experience with React Hook Form.
Experience with Lerna and monorepo development.
