We need an English-fluent Senior Data Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who’s constantly learning and improving their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions in Databricks.
- Write and optimize SQL (including Spark SQL) and Python code for data processing and analysis.
- Work with developers and IT teams to deliver data analytics projects.
- Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD methods to data workflows.
- Build and support Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Contribute to data modeling, data management and data governance standards.
- Roll up your sleeves on day-to-day technical work, not only design and oversight.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Background in software development and IT projects related to data analytics.
- Practical programming knowledge in SQL and Python, and experience working with developers.
- Good understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD methods.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Advanced user-level experience with cloud services and platforms.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data management and data governance.
- Experience with Spark SQL.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or other ERP data.
Compensation: The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $3,000 - $4,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset. This is a one-year project with the possibility of an extension based on the client’s needs. This position is for a full-time contract, through a payroll platform. The talent will work remotely allocated at our client.
