Alongside the marketplace, we run a Direct business: we buy products on our own account and sell them to customers across markets.
We are looking for a Head of Trading to turn that business into a scalable, data-driven operation.
Many trading opportunities in our industr ies are still found and executed through individual relationships, messages and spreadsheets.
We believe the supply and demand visible across our platform give us an opportunity to do this better.
What you’ll do
Build a world-class trading organization : Develop the trading team and operating processes as the business grows.
Develop tools that would allow us to leverage data to improve pricing, spot demand and match it with available supply.
Identify buying and selling opportunities across products and countries.
Build relationships with suppliers and buyers, negotiate terms and close deals.
Own trading performance, including gross profit, execution costs, credit exposure and capital employed.
What we’re looking for
A track record of profitable B2B trading or commercial deal making, ideally across multiple markets and industries.
Experience in solar, storage, electrical products, electronics or adjacent sectors is valuable, but deep experience in any one of these sectors is not required .
Strong commercial judgment: you know when an apparent price opportunity is a real deal and when it is not.
Comfort with data and a practical interest in using software and automation to scale commercial work.
This role suits someone who enjoys both closing deals and designing a better system for finding the next one.
You will have substantial ownership of how our Direct trading business develops.
