UTM Consultants are looking for a Offshore Export Joint & Terminations Inspector for a 6 month project in Poland. Responsibilities
Inspect cable systems at each offshore location using the designated inspection reporting tool.
Witness VLF, sheath and OTDR testing, as well as any other cable or termination tests that might be required.
Ensure that the Contractor prepares and delivers complete documentation of the works and services carried out, in accordance with the agreed RAMS.
Comply with and enforce the Company HSE requirements.
Tasks
Carry out QA/QC inspections of termination work.
Provide a daily progress report to the Array or Export Cable Technical Scope Manager, depending on the allocated scope.
Review the Contractor's programme and daily progress reporting.
Update the progress table (Array-specific).
Manage project documentation in accordance with project records management.
Manage Permit to Work requests, e. g.
Safety Rules.
Ensure the availability of SAPs for switching activities.
Ensure that cable testing activities are carried out in due time, including the availability of the necessary test equipment.
Manage handover certification.
Collect weather data.
Carry out QA/QC inspections, including punch lists and follow-up.
Submit Non-Conformance/Damage Defect Notifications to the Cable Project Engineer.
Manage cable installation contractor interfaces.
Manage WTG, FOU and OSS package interfaces, where relevant.
Prepare an end-of-shift handover report.
Review testing documentation and check compliance with testing requirements.
Requirements
Seafarers Offshore Medical.
One-day First Aid Course.
Firefighting course.
Sea survival and transfer training.
Climbing and rescue-at-heights training.
Confined space training.
Desirable
HV/MV jointing training or experience.
VLF testing training or experience.
OTDR testing training or experience.
Safe Work in High Voltage Substation Environments.
Safe Work in Low Voltage Substation Environments.
Skills in HV/MV cable jointing and termination, cable ladder and cleating systems, subsea cable hang-off systems, earthing and bonding of cable systems, and CDM Regulations 2015.
