Responsibilities
Lead and deliver database infrastructure initiatives including upgrades migrations standardization and platform modernization
Build configure and manage enterprise database environments across multiple database platforms
Support cloud database adoption and infrastructure optimization initiatives
Assess deploy and manage security patches upgrades and critical database fixes
Evaluate new database technologies perform proof of concepts and support platform innovation
Provide technical consultancy on database design performance resilience backup recovery and operational readiness
Produce technical documentation standards runbooks and implementation guides
Support production incidents troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Participate in change management incident management and oncall support activities
Report delivery progress risks dependencies and remediation activities to stakeholders
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
Strong handson experience with Oracle DB2 PostgreSQL or SQL Server
Experience with Oracle technologies such as RAC Data Guard RMAN and Exadata
Strong database performance tuning and optimization skills
Experience supporting database solutions in AWS or cloud environments
Experience with shell scripting and automation using Bash PowerShell Python or Ansible
Understanding of database backup recovery high availability and disaster recovery concepts
Strong knowledge of incident change and production support processes
Ability to quickly learn and adopt new database technologies
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
