We are looking for an experienced
Chief Accountant
to lead a small accounting team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations. This is a key role within an international manufacturing environment, requiring a hands-on, proactive, and independent professional.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of 3 members
Oversee AP, GL, inventory, and intercompany accounting processes.
Review supplier invoices, expense reports, and journal entries.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
Prepare and review VAT and tax filings.
Prepare statutory financial statements.
Support external and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act, tax regulations, and commercial law.
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.

Fluent Polish and professional English (minimum C1).
Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar role min. 5 years.
Strong knowledge of Polish accounting, tax, VAT, and commercial law.
Experience with US GAAP or IFRS in an international company.
Experience leading accounting teams.
Strong hands-on accounting skills and ability to work independently.
Availability to work on-site near Wrocław at least 3 days per week.
Nice to Have
Manufacturing industry experience.
ABAS ERP experience.
OneStream knowledge.
