Perform manual testing of a desktop application on Windows and macOS together with physical storage devices Run smoke and regression testing within a regular release-train cycle and verify delivered tickets and bug fixes Design, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists; consolidate and optimize existing test documentation Prepare automation-ready test cases with clear steps, expected results, and test data Analyze and report bugs in Jira with clear reproduction steps, logs, and device and environment details Create and manage test executions in Jira/Xray and track test results Contribute to automating regression and smoke checks together with the automation team Review and validate automated test scenarios and help define which tests should be automated Gradually create and maintain your own automated scenarios with guidance from the team Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in manual testing, including desktop applications Experience testing software together with hardware or peripheral devices Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS (installation, updates, system settings, device management, logs) Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and the defect lifecycle Experience with smoke, regression, functional, and exploratory testing Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists, bug reports) Hands‑on experience with Jira; experience with Xray or another test management tool (e.g., TestRail) Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet release deadlines Ability to interpret technical specifications and product documentation Basic understanding of test automation concepts (what to automate, how automated tests work, how to analyze their results) Strong motivation to grow in test automation Upper-Intermediate English or higher (written and spoken) Nice to Have
Experience testing storage devices (external HDD/SSD, NAS, DAS) or other consumer electronics Hands‑on experience with test automation (e.g., Python, pytest, Playwright, or desktop automation tools) Experience with AI‑assisted testing tools
