Lead pre-hospital emergency care across the camp and the live training area: first on scene, ALS-level stabilisation, triage and safe transfer to the Role 1 or the Polish ambulance exchange point.
Working on a rotation basis (length to be confirmed).
Key responsibilities:
- Crew one of two 4x4 EN1789 Type B ambulances (with an EMT or paramedic); reach emergencies within 10 minutes (KPI1).
- Provide forward medical cover at the training area during exercises and live training.
- Deliver advanced pre-hospital trauma and medical care: airway management, haemorrhage control, IV/IO access, drug administration, defibrillation and spinal immobilisation.
- Respond to vehicle accidents, fires (with Fire Rescue), structural alarms, hazardous-material incidents and general medical emergencies.
- Triage and lead casualty handling in MASCAL events; take part in drills and table-top exercises.
- Hand patients to the Polish State Ambulance at the exchange point, coordinated by the Patient Evacuation Coordination Cell (PECC); support Ukrainian patient STRATEVAC to the border when approved.
- Support the Role 1 clinic between call-outs (triage, observations, treatment within scope).
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks; keep emergency reporting logs and patient records.
- Help deliver first-aid and trauma training to camp personnel.
Wymagania:
- Valid paramedic practice licence or registration from a NATO country (e.g. HCPC, NREMT-P, national equivalent).
- Current pre-hospital trauma training: PHTLS, ITLS or ATLS.
- Current ALS/ACLS.
- At least 3 years' recent practice as a paramedic.
- Full driving licence valid in Poland, with emergency (blue-light) driving experience.
- Military, tactical (TCCC) or austere-environment experience.
- Critical care, HEMS or MASCAL incident experience.
- 4x4 / off-road driving experience.
- Ukrainian or Polish language skills.
